The edg-replica-manager is a wrapper around the Globus replica management library and has several additions to fit the Replica Manager into the EU DataGrid environment. It can also be regarded as the first prototype Replica Manager provided by WP2. Starting from version 2.0, edg-replica-manager has an interface to RLS (Replica Location Service)

(Note that we have portet the edg-replica-manager to gcc 3.2 and RedHat 7.3. The code is not released with Globus 2.2.4 since this Globus version does not support the globus-replica-management library anymore and our replica manager depends on that. edg-replica-manager will soon be replaced by Reptor the new EDG Replica Manager.)
